Working principle of exposure machine

Exposure machine is a machine that transmits image information from a film or other transparent body to a surface coated with photosensitive material by turning on light and emitting ultraviolet wavelengths.

In the printed circuit board manufacturing process of the exposure machine, one of the most critical processes is to transfer the negative image to the copper foil substrate. First, coat a layer of photosensitive material (such as liquid photosensitive glue, photosensitive anticorrosive dry film, etc.) on the substrate.

Then, the photosensitive material coated on the substrate is irradiated with light to change its solubility. The resin in the non-photosensitive part does not polymerize or dissolve under the action of the developer, and the resin in the photosensitive part remains on the substrate to form an image. This process is exposure, which is the process completed by the exposure machine in the production of printed circuit boards.

Features of exposure machine:

  1. Energy-saving and low cost-The energy consumed by LED lighting to reach a certain brightness is only about 15 watts, while the traditional lamp tube to achieve the same brightness will consume 1500 watts of energy, even when compared with UV halogen lamps. Can save 80% of energy, so LED lights are very energy-saving and environmentally friendly.
  2. The lamp source system is guaranteed for 3 years and has a long service life-LED lamp life is more than 20,000 hours.
  3. A wider range of applications-LED light does not emit infrared heating, and the heat release is low, so it will not affect the transmission of media that are easily deformed by heat (such as foam plastic sheets, foils, PVC, etc.) during the printing process. In this way, the application of the media is more extensive.
  4. Fast response (switching) time-LED lights do not need to be preheated, can be printed immediately after starting, and can improve productivity.
  5. The high-safety LED lamp has no ultraviolet radiation, no ozone release, and is not easy to break.
  6. High stability-The printing quality of UV inkjet printers is closely related to the UV drying and curing process. The stability of the LED lamp makes the output energy predictable and stable, and the printing effect is also predictable and stable.
